Ruth Joins The Download Revolution!
Ruth's album "The Ruth Allen Song Book" is
now available Worldwide on Apple's iTunes Music Store.
This computer Internet facility is the
biggest thing to hit the world of music since the Compact Disc.
Apple's iTunes accounts for 60% of the World music downloads.
So if you want to get hold of the whole
album or just sample one or two songs check it out. You may already
use iTunes, but if not, don't worry, it is a simple free
download and very easy to use.
Other CDs by Ruth will be appearing on

MUSICAL SHOW TO BE RECORDED!
"RING OUT THE BOW BELLS" - a good old-fashioned Cockney musical, entirely
written by Ruth - is to be recorded on an album next year, as a forerunner
to putting the show on stage! Celebrity guest singers are being approached now
to participate. You can hear two of the show's seventeen songs on her CD "THE
RUTH ALLEN SONG BOOK". They are: "WOULD I STILL BE ME" and "YOU'RE NEVER TOO
OLD".
The legendary Joe Franklin was at the Algonquin Hotel, NYC and heard Ruth Allen playing and singing in the famous Oak Room.
Joe was so captivated by Ruth’s voice and original songs he booked her straight away for his radio show on Bloomberg Radio – New York City which was broadcast in May of this year
RUTH'S APPEARANCE AT THE
MABEL MERCER NEW YORK CABARET FESTIVAL was a great success.
Legendary singer Margaret Whiting made a special point of
congratulating Ruth on her performance.
Ruth sang two of her own songs. Opening with "This Thing
Called Love" she captured the audience's
attention with the verse 'A Long time ago, a Mister Cole Porter wrote "What Is This
Thing Called Love?"
So I sorta' pondered the question and I found the answer, by
falling in love myself.' **
Ruth followed this with "Who Needs Spring?", one of her fans'
favourite songs. Watch this space for more news.

RUTH'S SINGS IN TV MOVIE!
Watch out for the HOME BOX OFFICE TV movie "THE REAL HOWARD SPITZ" a charming
and funny family film starring TV's "Frazier" :- KELSEY GRAMMER. Two of Ruth's
recordings are featured in the film: "WHO NEEDS SPRING?" with lyrics by Ruth and
music by her brother Alan Berry and "AT LAST I HAVE SOMEONE" with words and
music by Ruth.
